Professionall experience
I have many years of experience as a Counselling Psychologist and therapist having worked in both the NHS and third-sector organisations in the UK and Poland. My experience spans a wide range of settings, including work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities, as well as individuals from less privileged backgrounds, such as refugees and survivors of domestic abuse. I've also had the privilege of offering therapy in cancer services, supporting people with addiction, and working with those affected by neurological conditions.
At the start of my career, I gained a deep understanding of mental health difficulties, diagnosis, and assessment through my work at a Psychiatric Hospital in Poland. More recently, I was involved in a comparative research project at the University of the West of England’s Research Clinic, where I provided psychological support using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Psychodynamic Therapy, while also evaluating the effectiveness of both approaches.
